Viewers will have an opportunity to vote for their favourites and vote one couple off each week. Amongst the other contenders are John Barrowman (Dr Who), Sean Wilson (Coronation Street), Stefan Both (The Bill), Gaynor Faye (Fat Friends) and Kelly Holmes (Olympic Champion), to mention just a few. The show will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Dancing on Ice marks a welcome comeback to the small screen for Bonnie who, in recent years, has devoted most of her time to her stage career and young family. Not that there has been any slow down in her workload as she juggles to fit in her Ice Skating Lessons, Seasonal Pantomime and rehearsals for the coming tour with Sandi Toksvig (Short & Curly) whom she recently also featured alongside on Sandi’s LBC Radio Show.

For further insight into Bonnie’s thoughts on taking part in the show, take a look at her latest interview for Bonniefanchatter.

Week 8 - The Finals

First Section
Position: 1st
First Section Score: 28.5/30
(including two top scores of 6 points)

Second Section Position: 1st
Second Section Score: 27.5/30
(straight 5.5's across the board)

This truly turned out to be the night we had all been waiting for. Just as expected our Bonnie went out there and blew the Judges away with not one but two top scoring performances that absolutely set the standards for the evening.

Scoring no less than two 6's, the very first of the series, as a reward for her fabulous performance, flying in the air on wires where she made this weeks incredible "special requirement" look like a daily routine walk in the park - way above the heads of everyone. Her style and class simply dazzled as she made the air her own and literally "walked it" effortlessly.

Krez said "She looked gorgeous in the air and performed perfectly".

Jason said "She gave a spectacular performance".

How right they were, a heavenly vision in blue diamante, sparkling like the true star she is.

Next she repeated her earlier routine where she and Matt delivered yet another stylish and seamless performance that included all the cheeky confidence we now expect from such a consummate professional performer. Again the Judges awarded her the top marks for the set. Straight 5.5's across the panel. What more could a girl do?

Matt said: "She's just so incredible to work with, absolutely perfect".

Robin Cousins: She has such great spatial awareness, the extra elements were well worth 5.5.

Nicky: Anyone who says you are not skating should be here in the audience. You are definitely skating!".

Bonnie said: With so many routines to remember I was worried that I might forget what came next. But, I started out knowing nothing and now I really feel I know what I'm talking about".

Bonnie's aggregate score after the two sections was an enormous 56 points out of a possible 60

Jason said: "Bonnie is the total package, giving death defying and constantly dynamic performances!".

Krez said: "Bonnie has been the total package right from the start".

But, there could be only one winner and it wasn't down to the Judges, it was down to the voting public and, though our loyal fans did their best, there just wasn't enough to get to the next stage and our favourite had to settle for 3rd place. Amazing considering the Judges verdicts - but that's how it goes in competition.

Graciously Bonnie accepted the decision and simply said "the 8 weeks have flown by in a flash and it's all been an incredible experience". She went on to say "my husbands a wreck, I have to keep telling him to pull himself together, my whole family is involved and you simply do it for them". When asked about the flying she laughed and said "I just so enjoyed doing that, it was uplifting to say the least!". Husband Paul remarked that "she has given it her best and really thrown herself into it - like she does with everything she takes on".

Judge Nicky commented: "What these people have achieved and what we have done in this show has never been done before anywhere in the World".

Well, Bonnie may have finished third in the voting but she won in the studio and that's more than enough to be proud of...

Our hearty and sincere congratulations go to Gaynor who deservedly won the competition with flawless performances and to Stefan who did equally well to finish second having proved himself to be be the real skater we always knew him to be. Well done to both of them. Thanks to everyone, It has been a fabulously entertaining series and we shall all miss it!

What comes next?

Well, as you may have heard her announce live on the show...

Bonnie will be back to star as "Roxy Hart" in "Chicago" in London's West End in April.

Fantastic news for Bonnie and for all of us who have been demanding that she be returned to her rightful place in London's wonderful home of top entertainment.

You may be sure we will be reporting her progress right here on the site so watch this space for regular updates!

Thank you all so much for your support, you have been truly fantastic and on behalf of Bonnie and Paul we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

And remember, if you think Bonnie was good in "Dancing On Ice" - believe me - you ain't seen nuthin' yet!

Week 7 - The Semi-Finals
End of Show Position: Tied 2nd
Week 7 Score:
23.5/30

Waiting a whole week for Semi Final night was tough enough, but the week passed even slower than normal as I looked forward to taking a seat for the first time at the very edge of the Worlds most exclusive ice-rink. I was actually going to be there to watch Bonnie and Matt skate live in front of my very own eyes. With over 150,000 applications for seats each week this was a rare privilege indeed, so forgive me if I try and convey just a little more of the atmosphere for you to share.

Eleven million viewers watched with us as the weeks special routine component was revealed on the big screen, a triple solo spin, which the dancers could choose to execute on just one or both feet. Easy? Oh no, not at all... Robin Cousins said "it could very easily catch them out", he wasn't wrong.

Bonnie and Matt were to skate last in this semi final group of four. Stefan started very well, followed by Gaynor who took the nights highest score of 26.5. David was third and he and Pam bravely reintroduced the "death-spin" that had caused their absence the week before. But, though bravely attempted, it was not to be and Pam landed too soon, once again, face down on the ice. Thankfully though, without injury this time.

Bonnie and Matt were next and the atmosphere in the studio was incredible, everyone cheering and screaming and waving  banners for all the World to see "Vote Bonnie" was all they wanted to make the viewers hear. The skate went well except for a little jiggle on that tricky little triple spin and Bonnie instantly knew it was not her best performance. Knowing the judges marks might have little influence at this stage in the game and that everything relied on the voting viewers, she came off the ice almost accepted of her fate. She explained she was just delighted to still be in the competition at all after seven weeks, proud to have got this far and to have learned a new skill at forty one years old.

Partner Matt said: This was hard for Bonnie but though there were a few stumbles she delivered and deserved merit".

Judge Nick said: "Her moves were not quite as tight tonight and Bonnie didn't skate like she knows she can" he reminded us that the competition was now about ability on the day and not about previous weeks.

Judge Jason responded: "Tonight's may not have been her best performance but he wanted to see those go through who reliably gave the best performance, she's dynamic and consistently good and although tonight was not her best this was no longer about sympathy votes but about who deserved it".

Christopher Deane: "Judges don't always know what they are talking about so viewers must decide themselves and vote - always vote!

Well, the votes were eventually declared and "No! surely not?" Bonnie was in another Skate-Off. This time against David. All we could do was sit on the edge of our seats and cross everything for a second time. David went first and yet again he and Pam attempted the "death spin", this time executing it perfectly. The crowd went absolutely crazy and it felt like it could all be over for Bonnie, how could she pull it back after such an incredible reaction from the crowd? But, pull it back she did with a beautiful performance that really showed what she can do on the ice, the triple spin performed perfectly. Again the crowd went wild, insisting the Judges hear their demands for the rightfully deserving pair to be delivered into the finals. Like a slow motion dream sequence in a movie where the hero wins the day, the Judges revealed their choice to stay. Miraculously they declared - for the second week running - Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie... Could this be true? Or just a re-run of last week playing tricks in our heads?

It was true alright our golden girl had done it again, another unanimous decision! We could finally be assured of seeing her skate in the final. Let me tell you, if you think the pressure is on the skaters - you want to try sitting in the audience!

Regardless of what happens now, win or lose, first, second or third - it doesn't matter. Bonnie Langford is, to us at least, the Queen of the Ice - and long may she reign supreme.

Next weeks the big week, The Final we've all been waiting for and it's all up to you who wins. There will be no skate-off, no Judges decision to save the day, just the viewers votes. So you know what you have to do!....

Vote Bonnie! Vote Bonnie! Vote Bonnie!

Week 6
End of Show Position:
1st
Week 6 Score:
27/30

Oh my gosh! How much more excitement can we stand on a Saturday night and what will we all do when the ice finally melts away? Personally, I'm going to book myself into rehab' to get over my addiction to this show.

At least we didn't have to wait long for our dynamic duo this week as Bonnie and Matt kicked off the proceedings with a spectacular routine in dazzling pink costumes and featuring a new team member in the form of "Madge" the Feather Boa. The latest challenge for the skaters being to dance with a "prop". Matt said it had proved very difficult as "Madge had a mind of her own and would not behave herself all week".

As usual the Judges loved what they saw and awarded very high points, placing Bonnie at the top of the leader board again where she was to remain for the entire show. But, as we all know by now - anything can happen in this competition and happen it did! Poor David and Pam had to pull out of the show as just an hour before going live, Pam slipped and hit her chin on the ice and was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, she was later released with only minor cuts and some painful bruising. Otherwise, all skated well on the night and, to everyone's amazement, Bonnie and Matt ended up in the Skate Off alongside the very impressive Kelly Holmes. A new experience for Bonnie and Matt outside of rehearsals. The atmosphere was electric as the two pairs skated again and we all waited to hear the Judges verdict. Absolutely no one knew what was in store.

And then the votes were awarded and gradually we could all breath again. One by one the five judges revealed their choice to go through to the semi finals, Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie. That was it, the vote was unanimous! Bonnie and Matt were through and we could all stop holding our breath and I could run for my Oxygen mask. Phew!

Jason: "Another great performance that we and the public look forward to seeing each and every week".

Christopher Deane: "Bonnie's performance was upright and secure - she is consistently fantastic".

Robin Cousins: "This week she produced spectacular skating on ice that matched what she can do in the air"

(After the Skate Off): "Bonnie skated even better in the Skate Off and in the end it wasn't down to who should go - but who should stay - and Bonnie had to stay!"

After the show in the Defrosted Studio, Bonnie said that she felt "so lucky to be in the semi finals". Steven Mulhern said she should consider that "perhaps it was just down to talent".

Finally, as this week proved with both accidents, votes and skate offs - no one's position can be taken for granted. Bonnie was in the skate off as a result of lower votes than usual, that means some of us are assuming she has already won - that's not the case! Don't leave anything to chance, please keep voting and together we can make sure she wins her deserved place in the final in just two weeks time!

Week 5
End of Show Position:
2nd
Week 5 Score:
21.5/30

As any competitor knows, if you are out to win you have to be at your best. This week was a real test for Bonnie as she tussled with a demanding workload and a heavy cold in the days running up to Saturday nights show. On top of that, her new routine with Matt involved a difficult manoeuvre and some demanding spins that left her dizzy as she regained her footing on the ice. A couple of little stumbles may have cost her the single point that placed her second on the leader board. All the same, she is through to week six and another step closer to a chance of winning a place in the final. As she left the ice, feeling a little disappointed in herself, she said her only thoughts were of finding some Smarties and a nice cup of tea!

Jason: "Bonnie always pushes our buttons with up-beat routines but Matt got her through it this week"

Christopher Deane: Bonnie is a complete trouper who just gets out there and says "bring it on!"

Tony Gubber: (Show commentator) "Bonnie spins faster than a washing machine"

Tune in for week six and see what surprises Torville and Deane have up their sleeve to test the remaining competitors! Don't forget, Bonnie still has a way to go so she needs your votes as much as ever. She has personally asked me to thank you all so much for your support and for being so generous with your votes. Without your help she could be back home watching with the rest of us!

Week 4
End of Show Position:
1st
Week 4 Score:
27/30

After last week's half a point slip to 2nd place, Bonnie was back at the top of the studio score board again with a remarkable 27 points, the highest score of the series so far! Unsurprisingly Bonnie was speechless and amazed, but the audience showed their approval with a well deserved standing ovation. The show was full of sweet and sour surprises. Gaynor Fay earned a well deserved 2nd place and, last week's high flying studio winner, John Barrowman, was unbelievably voted off the show. Which just goes to prove literally anything can happen.

We thought our Bonnie was terrifincredabulous! Here's what the Judges had to say:

Nicky: "It was a performance with everything, Bonnie's skating is flowing and the lifts were superb".

Robin: Everything Bonnie has learned as a dancer has to go out of the window - it's actually to her detriment. I've worked with dancers who have trained for years and can't do what she can do".

Jason: "Bonnie and Matt were brilliant, what they are doing on the ice after just four weeks is just - brilliant!".

The pressure is really on now and, as we saw from John's completely unexpected departure, anything can happen if the viewers don't vote for their favourite. So, please don't take anything for granted - you know what to do... Vote Bonnie! Vote Bonnie!  Vote Bonnie!

Week 3
End of Show Position: 2nd
Week 3 Score:
21.5/30

Despite the nerves of a stressful weeks training Bonnie and Matt opened the show and immediately set the standard at the top of the score board. Though challenged strongly by the other competitors she held the lead right until John Barrowman set out to melt the ice at the end of the show, at which point he, and partner Olga, stole the lead with just half a point. The atmosphere was electric and when John and Olga slipped over right at the end of their routine it looked as though our Bonnie might just hold on to the lead - but it was not to be. Nevermind - she and the excellent Matt Evers are through to week four - Fantastic!

This week it was Bonnie's turn to receive a "cheeky" verdict from Judge Jason:

Jason's verdict: "You're more than surviving in this competition - you're ruling it. You've got such a peachy behind in that outfit that I wanted to take a bite out of it". To which Bonnie replied that would only give him "a mouthful of sequins".

Robin's verdict: "Your feet worked well and you had a lot more speed across the ice tonight". And sure she did... cutting a dash with a figure any 18 year old "figure skater" would be proud of!

All the celebs are having great fun, despite the hard training regime, and now the competition is getting serious. So, whatever you do.... please don't stop voting for Bonnie - there's still five weeks to go!!

Week 2
End of Show Position: 1st
Week 2 Score:
23.5/30

Robin Cousins' verdict: It was wonderful to watch. There’s no question that you know what you’re doing when you’re in the air and tonight you showed you know what to do with it on the ice.

Stephen Mulhern on ITV2's Defrosted show, re-named our favourite saying she should be called the "Duracell Bonnie" and asked her what she and Matt would come up with next week after tonight's 360 degree "Bonnie Spin" on his head. He thought that maybe next week Matt could spin her round just on his finger...

As usual everyone was brilliant, but Bonnie pulled it out of the bag again to hold on to her place at the top of the leader board, even though she managed to hit her head on the ice for the second time in practice just a day earlier. It's getting more exciting so keep watching, keep your fingers crossed and - keep voting!

Week 1
End of Show Position: 1st
Week 1 Score:
21.5/30

So Far - So Good!
With a total of 8 weeks of competition in all, no-one knows how any of the celebs will perform or how long they will survive on the ice. Everyone is amazingly good considering how little time they have had to train, it's literally wide open at this early stage in the game. So far Bonnie's had a good start..... but can she and her U.S partner Matt Evers keep it up?

Krez's verdict: I was dazzled. I loved the chemistry

Karen's verdict: In the air she's fantastic, but we need to work more on Bonnie's feet.
